As a child Ralph grew up on the road traveling with his family from city to city. His father played in a rock and roll band. Never being in one place for more than a few weeks, Ralph learned the ability to connect with others quickly. He learned that in order to connect you have to listen and care. While playing sports throughout his school career, he learned that to be the best he had to work hard, practice, and develop his skills. Ralph attributes his success in life and business to five characteristics: Connect, Care, Work Hard, Practice, and Develop.

Ralph has been responsible for over two billion dollars worth of Real Estate Sales in the last 20 years. Some of the companies he has worked with include Century 21, where he started selling real estate at age 19; REDC, the largest real estate auction company in North America, where he became the top sales associate; and New Home Network, a company he founded in Vancouver, British Columbia. His new home sales career started at New Urban West in Southern California, where he was recognized as one of the top three sales managers in California by ELAN. Ralph joined Grand Homes in 2002 as a salesman and quickly rose to number one.

Once becoming a sales manager, he was consistently recognized as one of the top sales managers in Dallas/Fort Worth. His success led to his next role, Division Manager, becoming one of Grand Homes’ most profitable. Upon Mar’Sue’s retirement, Ralph took over the post of Senior Vice President of Sales. Ralph helped lead the Grand Homes team to the prestigious “Builder of the Year” award in 2011. He knows, understands and loves home building and home sales. In his free time Ralph enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife Darci, and his amazing (and crazy) children Sophia, River and Lucy. He loves to travel and considers himself a foodie.

Mar’Sue Haffner’s sales career started when she was recruited by World Book Encyclopedia to sell door to door. During her eight-year career with World Book Encyclopedia, she sold, recruited, built and managed the largest division in the country. In 1990 she was hired by Grand Homes, a start up home building company in Dallas, Texas. As one of the first sales associates for the company, she started her career in new home sales as a $5.00 per hour hostess and within 10 years she has been promoted to Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

During her tenure, the company grew from one community to more than 40 communities selling 900 homes per year. Grand Homes was awarded “Best Selling Company in America” and the company was named the top 100 builders in the U.S. Mar’Sue was named sales associate of the year by the Dallas Association of Homebuilders as well as Sales Manager of the Year. The National Association of Homebuilders named her regional Sales Manager of the Year.

Mar’Sue attributes her passion for selling new homes to her boss of nearly 20 years, mentor and friend Stephen H. Brooks, Owner and CEO of Grand Homes. She has one daughter, many animals and loves to cook and travel. Her passion is selling, teaching and watching others succeed in sales as a result of her training. Mar’Sue believes that sales is a gift, talent is developed, skills are taught and integrity is essential for a sales career that lasts.

Vanessa is a transplant from the United Kingdom. She moved to the states in the early 1990’s, where she kicked off her career working for a Fortune 500 software company as part of their Inside Sales Team. This is where she refined her sales skills and found her true talent and passion for creating effective sales tools, educational materials and coaching Sales professionals to strive to be the best that they can be. She has successfully worked for many sales organizations over the last 20 years in various industries. Vanessa has more than 10 years of sales operational support, recruitment and extensive training experience in the New Home Sales industry. This is where she met the new home sales training experts Mar’Sue Haffner and Ralph Williams, to whom she contributes her success today. In her free time, Vanessa finds relaxation in painting and interior decorating and gardening. She loves spending time with her wonderful husband Curt and traveling this beautiful country with her family when they visit.
